“Only to the extent that we
annihilate ourselves over and over again will we find that which
is in us that is indestructible.” (from When Things
Fall Apart (Shambala Classics, 2000) by Pema Chodrin)
Several things have survived for Jeff during
his journey. A passion for photography (beginning in early childhood with his first camera, a Brownie), for animals, the outdoors
and of things spiritual. He found his path with a heart by combining
these lifelong passions, and specializes in the photography of
pets — seeking to capture an image which expresses the
inner essence of your pet’s unique personality beyond what
might be considered ordinary posed portraiture, while working
on location in the natural light of the outdoors whenever possible.
Jeff is easy-going yet serious, and exercises the utmost
care, interest, and sensitivity in his work.
While using some of the finest digital equipment available
today, he readily admits that the equipment is merely a tool to capture an artful
image that is sharp, focused, and concentrated, saying, “At
times its not even what’s on the image but what’s
left just outside that triggers the imagination to see something
extraordinary."
He concentrates exclusively on pet photography, allowing
all of his energy and devotion to focus on you and your pet(s)
in a relaxed, unhurried, enjoyable and simple atmosphere to
create a lasting and memorable image of quality.
In his spare time, Jeff practices Tai Chi and volunteers at the Humane Society. |
